we've been to watch the lantern parade in sefton park. its a scouse take on the mexican day of the dead celebrations. during the half term week loads of local kids make lanterns in workshops and the liverpool lantern company also bash up some bigger slightly more elaborate ones. then on sunday night just after it goes dark they all head down to sefton park to mooch round the lake with them. afterwards there is fireworks.
